The Myth of Capricornus

Within Babylonian mythology, it is believed that the god Ea ruled the waters beneth the Earth. He would keep the rivers Tigris and Euphrates rivers flowing, supposedly making life possible. In one myth involving Ea, he rose out of the Persian Gulf to teach his wisdom to Sumerians (an ancient civilisation in Southern Mesopotamia during the Chalcolithic and Early Bronze Age. Now modern day Iraq.) He was depicted to be a man cloacked in a cape of fish skin. He was also commomly referred to as the Antelope of the Undersea World.
