The Myth of Taurus
The Taurus constellation is a modern decendant of the Babylonian star-lore, then called The Bull of Heaven. This bull is said to have been sent by Ishtar to kill the hero of 'The Epic of Gilgamesh' (one of the oldest ever forms of literature). The Taurus is said to be one of the oldest constellations, possibly depicted in a cave painting dating the Upper Paleolithic period.
